According to Vastu, the north-east corner should be for the puja room. The bedroom should be in the southwest corner of the house. This keeps the mind of the head of the house stable. Their decision making power after waking up in the morning is excellent, which gives them immense benefits in their business and job. The girl’s room should be made in the north-west corner. The boy’s room should be built in the north-east corner.
The bathroom should be built in the west or south direction and its drains should flow towards the north-east. The living room should be in the north-east or west direction. Heavy items and furniture should be placed in the south and west directions. Maximum open space should be in north and east directions.
The kitchen should be built in the fire angle, i.e. in the southeast. Pre-cooking should take place during cooking. The water tap in the kitchen should be in the north-east direction. If it is not possible to have a kitchen in the fire angle, then you can make a kitchen in the northwest corner also.
If the doors are in the north direction, they should be north-east or north, not north-west. If the doors are in the east direction then they should be east-northeast or east. There should be no doors in the former fire. If the doors are to the south then they should be in Dakshin Agni or Dakshin, not in Dakshin Nehritya. If the door is in the west direction then it should be in the west Agni or west and not in the west Nehritya. The waves coming from the door affect the mind of the person who enters the door. Guest rooms should be in the north-west direction. The room in this direction is also considered suitable for unmarried girls.
